See-Saw Films, the production company behind TV drama Top of the Lake, are returning to New Zealand for their next film project, Slow West, with Michael Fassbender tipped to star.

The production company behind TV drama Top of the Lake, See-Saw Films, are returning to New Zealand for their next film project, Slow West, with Michael Fassbender tipped to star.
Described as a western, the film comes from writer/director John Mclean, whose Pitch Black Heist - also starring Michael Fassbender - won a BAFTA last year for best short film.
Slow West is being developed with DMC Film. Lead cast is still to be confirmed on the project, which is due to shoot on New Zealand’s South Island in November and December. The producers are See- Saw’s Iain Canning and Emile Sherman.
See-Saw Films is based in London and Sydney, and is responsible for multi award-winning The King’s Speech, Oranges and Sunshine, Shame and Dead Europe. Their TV drama, Top of the Lake, is for BBC2 (where the series just finished airing in the UK), UKTV Australia and New Zealand and the Sundance Channel.
See-Saw also has a sister company, Transmission Films, an Australian/New Zealand distributor.
