Shooting has got underway on location in Paris on Lucy, starring Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman.
Lucy is the story of a woman who, after being forced to become a drugs mule, finds that the cargo she is made to carry has somehow got into her system, bestowing her with both mental and physical superhuman powers. Morgan Freeman co-stars.
Europacorp’s Luc Besson is the writer and director of this one; he also produces alongside Christophe Lambert. The film will also use the Studios de Paris in the Saint-Denis area, which opened just over a year ago.
Johansson is then due in the UK early next year for Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is slated to start shooting at Shepperton Studios in January. It has also been reported that the actress will make her directorial debut next year with a big screen adaptation of Truman Capote’s New York-set novel, Summer Crossing.
