The Brave

Undercover military drama The Brave will film in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico, through to December.

Originally entitled For God & Country when it was still at the pilot stage, The Brave follows a team of Special Ops personnel based in Washington, DC, as they use America’s intelligence infrastructure to tackle global threats.

Washington itself is not considered a film-friendly location due in part to extensive local bureaucracy. Productions set in the city tend to shoot scenery footage for just a few days at a time.

New Mexico is one of the most popular parts of the US for TV shows and films that have desert settings. The state boosted its TV incentive following the international success of crime drama Breaking Bad and has since hosted three seasons of the show’s prequel Better Call Saul.
