The bi-annual Birds Eye View Film Festival is being hosted in London this week and will run from 3 - 10 April. The theme? It couldn’t be more international: celebrating Arab women filmmakers.
Various venues in the UK’s capital are hosting screening of features, documentaries, and a selection of ground-breaking short films. There’s also a wealth of insightful events, ten exclusive director Q&As, live music and lots of good parties.

Here at KFTV we think it’s a great opportunity for Arab women filmmakers to be able to show off their talents, and for the audience to enjoy the rich, diverse and powerful voices the Arab world has to offer.
BEV board member and winner of a London Film Festival Best British Newcomer award in 2012, Sally El Hosaini (My Brother The Devil) said: “Birds Eye View is a vital part of our cultural landscape. At a time of huge change in the Arab world this is a crucial and exciting chance to listen to female Arab voices from across the world.”
