Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos is to make his English language feature debut with The Lobster.
KFTV spoke to a source at one of the production companies involved, Element Pictures, about the project, who confirmed that shooting is scheduled to take place in Ireland in the autumn.

The screenplay is also by Lanthimos, together with his regular collaborator Efthimis Filippou, and centres on a future where single people must adhere to strict rules when trying to find a partner.
It is a truly international co-production, from the following production companies and personnel: Element Pictures (Ireland); Limp and Scarlet Films (UK); Faliro House (Greece) and Haut et Court (France).
