First there was the teaser in May, now Warner Bros. have released a pretty impressive clip for Gravity, the new space thriller starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. The CGI-heavy film commenced shooting in the summer of 2011 at UK-based Shepperton Studios, and is set for an October release.
Directed by Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men) and produced by Heyday Films based in the UK, the film centres on an astronaut (Clooney) and a medical engineer (Bullock) who get stranded in space. The rumour mill has been on overdrive about the film, due to its groundbreaking use of CGI.

It’s not the first time Clooney has ventured into space via the silver screen – the actor starred in Steven Sodenberg’s Solaris (2002).
