Italian ministers have approved a renewal of the country’s cinema tax credit for 2014-2015.
The government reportedly set aside €90m for the refinancing. Activities covered include all those tied to cinema production.

Prime minister Enrico Letta called the move “a very important allocation, which will allow Italy to continue attracting cinema production entities.”
ANICA, the association representing the cinema and audio-visual industry in Italy, welcomed the ministers’ decision, stressing the importance of cinema in the wider culture industry.
