Filming kicks off this summer in New Orleans on the much-awaited Jurassic Park sequel. Jurassic World – the fourth film in the franchise – will commence shooting for 11 weeks on 2 June and is being executive produced by Steven Spielberg.
Colin Trevorrow, who also revealed this week that the movie will be shot on 35mm and 65mm film, is stepping into the director’s chair. Details of the plot are sketchy, but what we do know is that the film will take place 22 years after the 1993 original. Chris Pratt has been confirmed to star in a lead role.

It will be a busy few months in New Orleans – Paramount’s Terminator 5 is expected to shoot in the city, with Arnold Schwarzenegger making an appearance in the film. Also in the pipeline is comedy Get Hard starring Will Ferrell, and The Best of Me, an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks bestseller.
