The Breaking Bad actor plays Dalton Trumbo, the Oscar-winning, blacklisted American screenwriter who was sent to prison in 1950 for refusing to answer questions about alleged communist ties in front of the House Un-American Activities Committee(HUAC). Helen Mirren also stars.
Known as the Hollywood Ten, Trumbo was one of a group of ten other industry figures including motion-picture producers and directors who appeared in front of the HUAC.
