Poland is planning to boost its global production appeal through the course of this year after hosting multiple international shoots in 2016.
Crews from the UK, France, Belgium, South Korea and Germany have worked in Poland over the past 12 months, although shooting schedules were generally relatively short at two to four weeks.

The Polish government has been planning to launch a formal filming incentive, which would help make the country more cost-effective for producers, leading to longer shooting schedules.
“Poland has a strong film tradition and if it had the help of a sound financial incentive and expanded sound stages, this would be a very attractive film centre,” said location manager Dow Griffith in comments to KFTV following an autumn familiarisation trip to the country.
High-profile movies shot in Poland last year included the Holocaust-themed Denial (pictured), which filmed scenes in Krakow, and the dark French comedy Grand Froid. Korean action movie Unfinished doubled Wroclaw for 1980s-era Berlin.
Polish locations were also scouted by producers from countries including the US and China through 2016, which Film Commission Poland hopes will lead to more international productions in the coming months and years.
