A new series of action drama Strike Back is filming on location in Hungary and Jordan.
The show is based on an original novel by former SAS soldier Chris Ryan and is broadcast on cable channel Cinemax in the US, and Sky in the UK. It follows a secretive military unit taking on dangerous missions around the world.

“Strike Back has been critical to defining Cinemax as a destination for adrenalised, combat-based dramas with spectacular production values,” said Kary Antholis, president of Cinemax.
“This rebirth of the series will undoubtedly satisfy the show’s loyal fans and our new ensemble cast promises to attract a new generation to the show.”
Previous seasons have been based primarily in South Africa and Hungary, so it’s a return to Eastern Europe for producer Left Bank Pictures.
Budapest is a popular location for movies and TV shows with a 25% filming incentive and high-end studio facilities that have hosted productions like Blade Runner 2049, Inferno and The Martian.
Jordan is a convenient double for Middle Eastern war stories set in Iraq and Afghanistan, and has easily-accessible military resources. The country recently hosted the Netflix war movie, Sand Castle.
