Marvel’s latest superhero movie Ant-Man and The Wasp has started filming in Atlanta and will also shoot scenes in San Francisco.
The first Ant-Man was released in 2015 and followed the adventures of a scientist who can shrink himself to the size of the titular insects.

Ant-Man also appeared in Captain America: Civil War as part of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.
The Wasp is another Marvel character with a similar shrinking power.
Ant-Man and The Wasp is set in San Francisco but like the first movie – and most of Marvel’s big-budget features – production will be based in Atlanta. California filming is likely to comprise a short schedule of ‘beauty’ shots showcasing iconic locations in the city.
Marvel recently wrapped filming on Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, both of which were also based in Atlanta.
Georgia is the most popular location for US feature production but Marvel Studios has secured filming incentive support of $20m to shoot upcoming superhero movie Captain Marvel in California.
