Ireland and Spain are set to be the main filming locations for The Rhythm Section, a thriller starring Blake Lively.
London-based Eon Productions – makers of the James Bond films – is the company behind the film, which is based on Mark Burnell’s novel about professional killer Stephanie Patrick.
Burnell has also written the screenplay which will be directed by Emmy award-winning Reed Morano.

Morano recently became the first woman in more than 20 years to win the drama directing Emmy for her work on Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale.
Ireland’s production profile has been on the rise for some time, with big-budget features like Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens having taken advantage of the generous filming incentive and varied locations.
Ardmore Studios is probably the best-known facility, although a pilot for George RR Martin’s Nightflyers recently filmed at Troy Studios, just outside Limerick.
Dublin is regularly used as a double for London, especially for period features which need elegant Georgian architecture and grand civic buildings.
Recent examples include Vita & Virginia about the Bloomsbury set of 1920s London.
