A TV drama adaptation of comedy fantasy novel Good Omens is filming South Africa as Rome and the Middle East.
The story follows an angel and a demon (David Tennant and Michael Sheen, pictured) as they search for the Antichrist in contemporary rural England ahead of a planned apocalypse.

Writer Neil Gaiman is showrunner on the TV drama, adapting the book he originally co-wrote with the late Terry Pratchett.
BBC Studios has partnered with Amazon on the six-part production, which will initially launch on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service.
Good Omens has already filmed scenes in the UK. South Africa is doubling for Rome, Eden and Golgotha, a site outside Jerusalem where Jesus is said to have been crucified.
South Africa is a popular international filming location and a regular production hub for BBC TV shoots. Historical drama The Last Post has been among the broadcaster’s most recent projects to visit the country, doubling Cape Town for Aden in Yemen.
