A second series of acclaimed TV drama Killing Eve starts filming this week in London, with scenes also scheduled to be shot in Paris.
Produced by UK production company Sid Gentle Films for BBC America, the first series featured Sandra Oh as a bored MI5 officer who finds herself given the task of tracking Jodie Comer’s suave assassin Villanelle (pictured).

The show is yet to be broadcast in the UK but has been a hit in the US, with Oh becoming the first actress of Asian descent to be nominated for an Emmy as a Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
British showrunner Phoebe Waller-Bridge, previously best known for her UK comedy-drama series Fleabag and for a co-starring role in Solo: A Star Wars Story, has also scored an Emmy nomination as a writer for her work on a specific episode of Killing Eve’s first-season run.
“Killing Eve is a startlingly original thriller,” said Sue Deeks, head of programme acquisition for the BBC, when the show was first announced for the corporation.
“In turn both laugh-out-loud funny and edge-of-your-seat gripping, Phoebe Waller-Bridge has filled her new series with an array of wonderful characters brought to life by a dream cast.”
Location filming in London has a lucrative “ripple effect” through the capital worth nearly three times the original expenditure, according to a recent report for Film London.
