Media Business Insight (MBI), publisher of KFTV, Screen International, Broadcast and The Knowledge has announced a three-day virtual industry conference titled Restart.
The conference will take place on May 18-20 and include a number of sessions discussing the impact of the pandemic on the industry, including film and TV production, and how it can move forward, successfully navigating its way into the future. Find out more here.
The first line-up of speakers has been announced and includes Daniel Battsek (director, Film4), Rose Garnett (director, BBC Film), Tim Richards (co-founder and CEO, Vue Cinemas), Clare Binns (joint managing director, Picturehouse Cinemas), Lizzie Francke (editor at large, BFI Film Fund), Gareth Ellis-Unwin (head of film and animation, ScreenSkills), Penny Woolcock (director), Polly Hill (head of drama, ITV), Douglas Mackinnon (director) and location manager Georgette Turner (The Little Mermaid, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them).
The conference will confirm further top-level industry speakers in the coming weeks. Topics to be discussed during Restart include audience retention and engagement; UK and international production; financing and funding; and keynote conversations with leading executives in both TV and film.
