The second season of popular HBO series The White Lotus will shoot in Sicily, Italy.
The show will return to a Four Seasons Hotel, having used the Four Seasons Resort Maui in Hawaii in the first season to portray Mike White's fictional luxury chain of White Lotus hotels. This time, according to Variety, they will be filming at the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace in Taormina, overlooking the Ionian Sea.
Season 2 of the dark comedy, which follows the travails of the hotel's guests, will star Michael Imperioli, Aubrey Plaza, F. Murray Abraham, Tom Hollander, Adam DiMarco and Haley Lu Richardson, and Jennifer Coolidge returning from season 1.
Imperioli will play Dominic Di Grasso, who travels to the White Lotus resort with his elderly father Bert Di Grasso (Abraham) and college graduate son (DiMarco). Plaza joins as Harper Spiller, a woman on vacation with her husband and his friends. Hollander will play Quentin, an English expat vacationing with his friends and his nephew, and Richardson will portray Portia, a young woman traveling with her boss.
Mike White, who is the series creator and writer, returns to executive produce with David Bernad, Nick Hall and Mark Kamine.
