Tulsa King, starring Sylvester Stallone is set to begin shooting in
Tulsa,
Oklahoma this month.
Tusla King produced by 101 Studios follows the 75-year-old mobster Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone) who, after serving 25 years in prison for murder, is released home to New York. But is then banished by his former boss's son to reestablish his Italian mafia family in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The series is created by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, 1883, Mayor of Kingstown), with Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos) serving as show-runner. Joseph Incaprera (The Walking Dead, 13 Reasons Why, American Horror Story) is co-executive producing the series for Paramount+.
Stallone will also executive produce the crime drama with 101 Studios David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle and Bob Yari. MTV Entertainment Studios will also produce the series.
Tulsa King marks Stallone's first TV series after starring in
The Rocky and
The Expendables franchises.
