Production has wrapped in Minnesota, US on Keir O’Donnell’s romantic heist Marmalade, starring Stranger Things’ Joe Keery alongside Camila Morrone and Aldis Hodge.
Marmalade is produced by Signature Films, the production arm of Marc Goldberg’s Signature Entertainment; and UK-US production firm Tea Shop Productions. The producers are Sarah Gabriel and Goldberg for Signature Films, with James Harris and Mark Lane for Tea Shop. The film is made in association with Jason Shapiro of US management company Silver Lining Entertainment.
The directorial debut of Australian actor-turned-director, O’Donnell, Marmalade is based on O’Donnell’s script, and follows a man narrating the colourful tale of a romantic bank heist to his cunning cellmate, in order to escape jail and reunite with the love of his life.
Keery is best known for playing Steve Harrington in Netflix’s Stranger Things. His feature credits include leading Sundance social media satire Spree in 2020, and a role in original blockbuster Free Guy last year.
Morrone will soon be seen in Amazon Studios’ mini-series Daisy Jones & The Six, while Hodge will appear in blockbuster Black Adam for Warner Bros.
Upcoming Signature titles include Dean Craig’s The Estate with Toni Collette and Anna Faris; Haley Bennett romance She Is Love; and action feature Traphouse with Dave Bautista.
