Apple TV+ series Pachinko is set to shoot in Toronto, Canada from January and then Japan from March.
The epic, multi-language series follows a Korean immigrant family through four generations as they travel through Korea, Japan and America.
Pachinko Season 2 will film from 9 January to 27 March in Mississauga, Toronto and then in Japan from 27 March to 16 June 2023.
The first season filmed in Busan, South Korea and Vancouver, British Columbia, which doubled for 1915 Japanese-occupied Korea and urban, pre-war Japan.
The series cast includes Yuh-Jung Youn, Lee Minho, Jin Ha, Anna Sawai, Minha Kim, Eunchae Jung, Junwoo Han, Inji Jeong and Jimmi Simpson as Tom Andrews.
Pachinko is written and executive produced by Soo Hugh, who created the series and serves as showrunner. Kogonada and Justin Chon are executive producers and directed four-four episodes of the first season. Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer executive produce for Media Res, the studio behind the series; Theresa Kang-Lowe executive produces for Blue Marble Pictures, and Richard Middleton also executive produces. David Kim and Sebastian Lee co-executive produce.
