Idris Elba is reportedly opening a film production studio in Tanzania, East Africa.
According to local news publication, The Citizen, the Beast actor revealed plans during last week's 53rd World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
During a press conference, The Director of Presidential Communications, Zuhura Yunus announced that Elba, alongside his wife and humanitarian, Sabrina Elba, recently met and held discussions with President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the forum where he revealed plans to develop a major studio in Tanzania.
No further details were shared about the timeline of the project or what the scale of the development will be, as plans are in very early stages.
“Discussions on the project have just begun, and if successful, the project will help not only Tanzania but also Eastern and Central Africa,” Ms Yunus said. (Via The Citizen).
