The UK's Intake Films and Hungary's Proton Cinema co-produce the drama

Production on Brady Corbet's (Vox Lux) drama The Brutalist is currently underway in Hungary.
The Brutalist chronicles thirty years of an artist’s life. When visionary architect László Toth (Adrien Brody) and his wife Erzsébet (Felicity Jones) flee post-war Europe to rebuild their legacy in America, a mysterious and wealthy client (Guy Pearce) ends up changing their lives forever. Joe Alwyn also stars.
Rounding out the cast is: Raffey Cassidy (White Noise), Isaach De Bankolé (Casino Royale), Alessandro Nivola (The Many Saints Of Newark), Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac Vol I), Emma Laird (Mayor Of Kingstown), Jonathan Hyde (Titanic), and Peter Polycarpou (Evita).
The feature is co-written by Childhood Of A Leader's Corbet, alongside Mona Fastvold (The World To Come).
Director of photography is Lol Crawley (White Noise), Daniel Blumberg (The World To Come) composes, and costume designer is Kate Forbes (Fair Play). Dávid Jancsó (The World to Come) serves as editor and Oscar nominated Judy Becker (Brokeback Mountain) is production designer.
Trevor Matthews and Nick Gordon are producing for Brookstreet UK alongside Brian Young and Yellow Bear’s Andrew Morrison. Also producing are Andrew Lauren for Andrew Lauren Productions and D.J. Gugenheim.
