Production is expected to resume later week on Oahu’s North Shore

The Honolulu Police Department has launched an arson investigation following a fire on the set of Disney's live-action Lilo & Stitch on Oahu’s North Shore.
Production on Disney's live action remake of Lilo & Stitch ground to a halt on Monday (17 April) after a trailer part of the base camp for the film caught on fire late Sunday night (16 Apr) causing roughly $20,000 in damage, according to KHON Honolulu.
The news comes one month after filming commenced on 13 March in Oahu.
The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) said crews received a call just before 11PM on Sunday to tend to the set, located at the intersection of Kamehameha Highway and Cane Haul Road in Haleiwa.
In a report by HawaiiNewsNow, the contents of the trailer were also set alight, including specialised costumes.
A total of five units staffed with 12 personnel responded to the incident and crews doused the blaze by 1AM on Monday. No injuries were reported and no workers were on scene.
Filming is expected to resume later this week.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
