Season 2 of Netflix's The Sandman has begun filming in the UK, sources have told The Knowledge.
The show is based on author Neil Gaiman's comics which were published by DC from 1986-1996.
Filming is set to begin today, June 23, at Shepperton Studios, which is part of the Pinewood Group, in Shepperton, UK.
Previously, Gaiman said that no writing work would take place on Sandman during the WGA strikes. However, sources have confirmed that filming has begun.
Complexities of the WGA strike have meant that many productions, even those with completed scripts, have ceased work both in solidarity and also due to the continued work of writers on shows during filming.
The show is produced by US based PurePop Inc, The Blank Corporation, Phantom Four, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros Television for Netflix.
Season 2 has yet to confirm any plot or character details.
