At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, DC Studios Animation showcased two logos for their upcoming Watchmen and Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths animated movies.
The announcement was made after DC screened their most recent animated feature Justice League: Warworld. Like Warworld, the Watchmen movie will also be rated R.
Both films will debut in 2024, though their specific release dates are unknown.

No official release date or cast have been announced for either of the projects, but panelists did reveal the movies were being made for home video release, in keeping with DC's recent pattern of releasing their animated features on Max (as well as Blu-ray/DVD).
The Watchmen comic book series created by Alan Moore, Dave Gibbons and John Higgins and has been adapted into a feature film as well as a critically acclaimed series starring Regina King and Yaha Abdul-Mateen II.
Since its comic book debut in 1985, the Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths storyline has been adapted for The CW's Arrowverse television show.
DC Studios Animation also announced three more animated projects: Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes and Huntsmen, Part Two (2023), Merry Little Batman (TBD) and Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires/Batman Azteca: Choque de Imperios (TBD).
