RRR star NTR Jr resumes production on Devara for major sequence in Hyderabad

Production on the next schedule of Devara has resumed filming — with sequences shooting in Hyderabad, India.

The revenge drama Devara, which means Godlike, reunites NTR Jr with Janatha Garage helmer Koratala Siva. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor (Mili) and Bollywood megastar Saif Ali Khan (Vikram Vedha).

While plot details remain closely held, the film's tagline reads: "When courage turns into a disease… fear is the only cure."

Posting on their official Instagram page earlier this week, Devara Movie shared an update on their filming schedule, alongside an image of ocean waves, indicating an epic marine sequence.

"After a short break and some rehearsals to execute the sequence on a massive scale, we are back on sets from today. 🌊🌊," read the caption. 

The feature is produced by Kosaraju Hari Krishna and Sudhakar Mikkilineni under the banners NTR Arts (Bimbisara) and Yuvasudha Arts respectively and is presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.

Anirudh Ravichander (Vikram) serves as the film's composer, and R. Rathnavelu (Sarileru Neekevvaru) is the director of photography. The production design by Sabu Cyril (RRR) and with editing by A. Sreekar Prasad (RRR).

Elsewhere, NTR Jr is also set to work with filmmaker Prashant Neel (K.G.F: Chapters 1 and 2) in a project currently titled NTR 31 — the actor's 31st project — with principal photography starting March, 2024.

Devara is scheduled to release globally in theatres on April 5, 2024.
