Netflix has announced today (January 8) that filming on the final season of Stranger Things has begun.
Pre-production on season five was halted due to the WGA strikes on May 2. Though the script had already been completed, creators, executive producers, and showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer (who go by the Duffer Brothers) postponed production so writers would be able to work on set during production. The SAG strike further postponed production, which has now resumed and is set to run through September 2024.
Returning main cast members include David Harbour, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton.
