Christopher Sharp and Nel Minchin join the team as heads of scripted and factual, respectively

Easy Tiger, the indie behind hit comedy Colin From Accounts and drama Scrublands, is bolstering its production team with a raft of hires and promotions.
The Australian indie plans to ramp up its international presence with the appointment of Christopher Sharp in scripted, Nel Minchin in factual, as well as adding award-winning screenwriter and director Shelly Lauman.
Sharp is joining as head of scripted content, having held positions in Australia, the US and the UK in TV and film finance, development and production including most recently as head of scripted at Screen Australia.
He arrives at a busy time for Easy Tiger as the indie prepares to launch outback drama Territory on Netflix in October, as well as romantic drama series Four Years Later which is coming to public broadcaster SBS.
Elsewhere, director, producer and writer Nel Minchin is stepping into the newly created role of head of factual. Minchin’s recent documentary projects include Matilda and Me, Making Muriel and The Truth about Anxiety.
Award-winning screenwriter and director Shelly Lauman is also joining the ranks on a 12-month placement, under the auspices of the Screen Australia Enterprise Program. Her appointment is part of Easy Tiger’s commitment to nurturing new talent.
