HBO's House Of The Dragon is set to end with four seasons with production on season three scheduled to begin in early 2025.

During the press conference, showrunner and co-creator Ryan Condal said: “As a showrunner you are always in a position of having to balance storytelling and resources you have available to tell that story."

The previous season was filmed at Warner Bros Leavesden Studios in Watford, England, where the interior sets were constructed and filmed, alongside historic and medieval towns in Spain and Portugal, as well as various places in England such as  Cornwall and the Peak District.

Condal did not confirm how many episodes season four will have — season two is two episodes shorter than season one. Season three is currently being written.

Based on George R.R. Martin’s novel Fire and Blood, the Game Of Thrones prequel is co-created by George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal and is set 300 years before the events of Game Of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen.

Executive producers are Sara Hess, Alan Taylor, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Loni Peristere, Vince Gerardis.
