Trespasses is the TV debut for production company Wildgaze Films, known for Brooklyn and An Education), adapted from Louise Kennedy novel for the screen by Ailbhe Keogan, whose previous credits include Bad Sisters; Dawn Shadforth directs.
The four-part series is set against the backdrop of the Troubles, and follows Cushla (played by Lola Petticrew) who works in her parents' pub and is frustrated by the grind of daily life when she meets Michael, a married Protestant barrister, who often defends IRA suspects and is friends with cultured Bohemians.

Also upcoming is the series Summerwater from Channel 4's indie Growth Fund and Glasgow-based production company Freedom Scripted. Robert McKillop directs, while playwright John Donnelly pens the script, based on the novel by Sarah Moss.
Set against the backdrop of a remote loch-side Scottish holiday cabin park and set over the course of one single rainy summer’s day, Summerwater looks at the simmering tensions between holidaymakers that eventually erupt into a devastating climax.
