Good News (working title) marks the second collaboration between Byun Sung-hyun and Netflix

Production on Good News (working title) from director Byun Sung-hyun has begun in South Korea.
The film is set in 1970, the film depicts a suspicious operation carried out by a group determined to land a hijacked airplane by any means necessary.
This is the second collaboration between Byun Sung-hyun and Netflix, following Kill Boksoon, which premiered at the Berlinale Special section of the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival.
Sul Kyung-gu reunites with the director for the fourth time, following their collaborations on The Merciless, Kingmaker and Kill Boksoon. In Good News, he takes on a transformative role as a mysterious fixer who shows up whenever needed to resolve problems.
Hong Kyung stars as an Air Force lieutenant involved in the secret operation, with Ryoo Seung-bum as the government official in charge of overseeing the entire operation.
Director Byun Sung-hyun's 2017 film The Merciless premiered in the Midnight Screenings section of the 70th Cannes Film Festival. He also received the Best Director Awards at both the Baeksang Arts Awards and the Grand Bell Awards for 2022's Kingmaker.
