First trailer for 'The Day Of The Jackal' starring Eddie Redmayne, Lashana Lynch

Sky and Peacock have released the first trailer for The Day Of The Jackal, starring Eddie Redmayne. 

The series, which was filmed in London, Budapest, Croatia and Austria,  follows an elusive assassin, the Jackal, (played by Redmayne) when he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) who starts to track down the Jackal across Europe, leaving destruction in its wake.

The series also stars Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist) as Nuria, someone at the heart of The Jackal’s personal life, unaware of who he truly is. Watch the full traier below.

The 10-part adaptation is based on the novel by Frederick Forsyth, who serves as consulting producer, and subsequent 1973 film from Universal Pictures. The series is produced by Carnival Films (which is part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group).

The series is written and adapted by Ronan Bennett, creator and writer of Channel 4/Netflix's Top Boy. Brian Kirk, whose credits include HBO's Game of Thrones, and Boardwalk Empire is the lead director.

Production service companies were provided by UK's Representation Upson Edwards, Flying Pictures, The Look, Denmark's ARRI Rental, Universal Production Services, and Australia's Big Bang Sound for sound post-production-ADR. 

Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant are executive producers for Carnival Films. Redmayne is also an executive producer, and Lynch a co-executive producer on the project. Sam Hoyle is the executive producer for Sky Studios. Sue Naegle serves as executive Pproducer and Marianne Buckland as co-executive producer. Christopher Hall is producer and Emily Shapland is co-producer.
