Peacock original series Copenhagen starring Marvel's Simu Liu and Scream's Melissa Barrera is set to begin filming in Toronto on October 21.

James Wan executive produces the series from Legacies creator Thomas Brandon, which was originally announced at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Pasadena.

The series takes place five minutes in the future and follows a first-generation-American intelligence analyst Alexander Hale (played by Liu) who realises his brain has been hacked, giving the perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears meaning he must maintain a performance 24/7 to figure out out who’s responsible.

Jet Wilkinson, whose credits include FX's The Old Man starring Jeff Bridges, directs with Mark Winemaker producing. Also executive producing are Michael Clear and Rob Hackett; Danielle Bozzone is overseeing for Wan's Atomic Monster outfit; and Universal Content Studios produces.

Production is set to wrap on March 5, 2025.
