New studio in Vienna opens its doors

A new production studio in Vienna, Austria has officially opened for operation.  

hq7 Studios comprises two soundproof stages, measuring approximately 1,000 and 2,000 square meters, in addition to offices, workshop and warehouse spaces, fixed sets and 24/7 access parking.

The facility was launched by Hafen Wien and hq7 studios, a joint company by CC Real International and 3MPG GmbH.

Austria recently introduced a film incentive scheme featuring a 30% cash rebate and a 5% green production bonus.

“With the combination of the new incentives (FISA+, ÖFI+, Vienna Film incentive), well-educated crews, and these purpose-built sound stages, there are hardly any reasons for producers not to come to Vienna and shoot here,” said Anu Shanker, managing director of hq7 studios.

“The high quality of local service providers, from set construction to equipment and costume rental houses, are globally known and a significant advantage to have.”
