The BBC has announced the upcoming drama Babies, written and directed by Stefan Golaszewski which is now filming in London.
Paapa Essiedu and Siobhán Cullen lead the cast, which also includes Jack Bannon and Charlotte Riley.
Produced by Snowed-In Productions and The Money Men Studios for the BBC, the six-part series follows a young couple Lisa (Cullen) and Stephen (Essiedu) who are dealing with the struggle of pregnancy loss while life continues around them. However, despite facing grief and loneliness, they find their way through it.
Golaszewski executive produces alongside Ruth Kenley-Letts for Snowed-In Productions, Neil Blair and Richard Laxton, and Danielle Scott-Haughton for the BBC. Series producer is Lyndsay Robinson, with Kelly Duffell as producer.
