ABC, Screen Australia, ITV Studios, and Screen Canberra's series Austin will commence filming on season two in the UK in early December.
Produced by Northern Pictures with Lincoln Pictures, Austin stars Michael Theo alongside Ben Miller, Sally Phillips, Gia Carides, and Roy Billing.
Filming will also take place in Australia on the series, which is directed by Darren Ashton, Madeleine Dyer, Rebecca O’Brien.
Season two begins with Austin's publishing career taking off only for him to fall under the professional spell of a new agent. Meanwhile, Austin's father Julian (played by Miller), mother Ingrid (Phillips), and Austin head to Canberra, Australia where a production company has optioned Julian's book.
The series is a Northern Pictures production with Lincoln Pictures, in association with and distributed by ITV Studios. Major Production investment came from the ABC in association with Screen Australia, the ACT Government, and Screen Canberra. Post Produced occurred with the assistance of the NSW Government.
Austin was created by Darren Ashton, Ben Miller, Joe Tucker and Lloyd Woolf. Executive Producers are Ben Miller, Sally Phillips, Jessica Parker, Joe Tucker, Lloyd Woolf, Peter Anderson, Darren Ashton and Catherine Nebauer; Rebecca Anderson and Rachel Okine for ABC.
