'I Know What You Did Last Summer' sequel now in production in Australia

Columbia Pictures' I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel has begun filming in Australia.

Sarah Michelle Geller, star of the first film, posted a photo to her Instagram page of a chair on set. 

Geller confirmed her involvement would only be in an 'unofficial' capacity as her character from the first film is dead. She is assisting her friend and director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson with continuity. Robinson's previous credits include Netflix's Do Revenge and Someone Great.

Geller's husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., is set to reprise his role and Jennifer Love Hewitt is in talks.

The cast for the sequel is Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, and Jonah Haur-King, with Lola Tung, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Austin Nichols, and Gabbriette.
