Sky Original's thriller series 'Inheritance' is set to begin filming in the UK and Jamaica this month.
The series stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as a lawyer who goes to Jamaica to challenge an inheritance claim filed by an unknown local resident, Cudjoe East (played by Sheldon Shepherd) against Oliver Connaught (Jonny Lee-Miller), a wealthy white aristocrat.
Inheritance is written by Karla Crome, whose credits include BBC's Am I Being Unreasonable and Prime Video's Carnival Row and is based on an original idea by Jefferson Bannis.
The five-part series is set in Bristol, UK and Jamaica and is directed by Storm Saulter and produced by Snowed-In Productions in association with Sky Studios.
The cast also includes Bel Powley, Nadean Rawlins, Sean Gilder, Olunike Adeliyi, Richard Dillane, Diveen Henry, Jack Bandeira and Shantol Jackson.
Executive producers are Ruth Kenley-Letts, Jenny van der Lande, Neil Blair, Karla Crome, Storm Saulter, Sam Hoyle, Serena Thompson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Jonny Lee Miller. Development producer is Roxanne Harvey and the series producer is Kate Ogborn.
