The annual Cineposium of the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) will this year be held in the Korean city of Jecheon, it was announced at the AFCI’s locations show in LA on Saturday (29 June).
The event will be held 5-9 September so as not to overlap with the Jecheon International Music and Film Festival or the Busan International Film Festival. Its central topic is being described “a meeting of film East and West”.
It is the first time in AFCI’s 38 year long history that they will hold the conference in Asia.
According to its Film Location Shooting Support System, AFCI collaborates with 350 film commissions from over 63 different countries, making it one of the world’s largest film organizations. Since its establishment in 1975, the non-profit organization has helped to provide billions of dollars of support to locations hosting movie and television filming and production.
