The 70-minute stand-up comedy special Notorious and four-part docu-series Russell Peters vs. the World, chronicling the comedian’s tour, are the first two programmes to premiere exclusively on Netflix.

Both series, which star the Canadian comic Russell Peters, will be available to stream in all territories where Netflix is available - the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada, Latin America, the Nordics and the Netherlands.
His live show, Notorious, was recently filmed at the Allphones Arena in Sydney, Australia.
“Russell’s genius is his uncanny gift to identify the idiosyncratic within all of us,” says Lisa Nishimura, vice president of originals at Netflix. "He is prolific, fresh and a global force that will resonate with our members around the world.”
Earlier this year Netflix announced that it was to start commissioning content. Writing to investors, the VoD service stated: “Beyond series, we will be expanding our Originals initiative to include broadly appealing feature documentaries and stand-up comedy specials. Netflix has become a big destination for fans of these much loved and often under-distributed genres.”
Notorious and Russell Peters vs. the World are executive produced by Russell Peters and Clayton Peters.
The two programmes will be available on the platform from 14 October.
Netflix has more than 36 million members in 40 countries, whose viewing hours total around one billion hours of TV programmes and films per month, including original series.
