Ben Kingsley and Monica Bellucci will headline spy thriller Spider In The Web that director Eran Riklis will shoot in Belgium (pictured) and Holland in the spring.
Kingsley will play a veteran spy who finds an opportunity to atone for past mistakes when he uncovers a plot to sell chemical weapons to a hostile state in the Middle East.
The movie is being made as an Israel-Belgium-Holland-Portugal co-production, according to a Screen report.
In late December last year, the Netherlands Film Commission announced 18 films would be supported by the Netherlands Film Production Incentive Scheme as part of a fourth round of allocations for the year. Total funding for all projects reached nearly €5m and included 11 international co-productions.
Belgium offers a tax shelter that is a crucial component of bringing international co-productions and filmmakers to the country.
