Chris Hemsworth and David Harbour are filming Dhaka, produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, in Thailand, having already filmed a stint in India.
The movie marks the directorial debut of stunt co-ordinator and stunt double Sam Hargrave.
The film is a kidnap thriller set against a backdrop of weapons dealers and traffickers with Hemsworth and Harbour playing mercenaries tasked with saving a young boy who has become caught up in a war between drug gangs.
Hemsworth also produces alongside Mike Larocca and Eric Gitter. Hargrave is calling the shots from a screenplay by Joe Russo.
Thailand offers a base 15% filming incentive that can rise to 20% for shoots that employ key Thai crew and help promote the country's tourism sector.
Thailand recorded a rise in filming in 2017 including a significant number of TV projects and commercials - 730 - shooting over the one-year period.
