Ryan Reynolds’ action comedy vehicle The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard has started nearly 50 days of location filming in Croatia.
The movie is a sequel to hit 2017 movie The Hitman’s Bodyguard (pictured), which featured Reynolds as a bodyguard forced to protect Samuel L Jackson’s professional killer.
Reynolds and Jackson have both returned for the follow-up and are joined by Salma Hayek, and director Patrick Hughes.
Croatia filming will include areas around the capital Zagreb and nearby Karlovac, as well as the port cities of Rovinj and Rijeka on the north-west coast, according to the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.
Croatia is set to appear as itself, Italy and a variety of other European story settings in the final film.
MP Film Productions of Zagreb is servicing the shoot.
The movie started filming in the first week of March with a production base in the UK.
See KFTV's production guide for more on filming in Croatia.
