Alec Baldwin is in the UK to film 97 Minutes, a hijack thriller from Black Hangar Studios, ORWO and Lighthouse Pictures.
The feature is currently in pre-production, gearing up for around three weeks’ filming in the UK. As reported on the Birmingham Mail, Baldwin has posted snippets of personal video diaries from the main street in Alton, Hampshire.
The location is near Black Hangar’s film studio, a complex that comprises around 32,000 sq ft of uninterrupted studio floor space, based on the 500-acre Lasham Airfield. The facility has hosted a wide range of features, TV dramas and commercials with recent credits including The North Water.
The plot centres on a hijacked 767, due to crash when its fuel runs out in exactly 97 minutes. But is one of the alleged hijackers actually an undercover Interpol agent? Timo Vuorensola directs from a screenplay by Pavan Grover.
97 Minutes marks the first project for Baldwin since the fatal shooting last October on the set of his film Rust.
