Apple TV+ thriller, The New Look, starring Ben Mendelsohn (Rogue One, Bloodline) and Juliette Binoche (The English Patient, Chocolat), is expected to film in Paris, France, this Spring.
The New Look, inspired by true events, will be produced by Apple Studios and written, executive produced and directed by Todd A. Kessler (Bloodline, Damages, The Sopranos). Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers, Salt) will serve as producer alongside Kessler and Mark A. Baker (Bloodline, The Night Of, Damages).
The series is set during the World War II Nazi occupation of Paris, centering on the city's fashion icons of the time. Mendelsohn will play Christian Dior whose creations dominated world fashion in the decade following World War II, with Bionche playing the fashion house's rival Coco Chanel. The fashion drama will also include stories of Dior's contemporaries and competitors — Balmain, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Pierre Cardin, Yves Saint Laurent and more.
