Production has wrapped in Montreal, Canada on the sixth instalment of horror comedy Scream for Paramount Pictures.
Courtney Cox, who plays Gale Weathers in the franchise, took to Instagram this week to share an update on the film's production status.
Posting a promo video, the star can be seen settling onto her sofa to announce: “Just finished filming Scream... back from Montreal and I'm so happy to have my work behind me,“ before turning on her home television which reveals the film's protagonist Ghostface on her CCTV.
The next instalment finds the four survivors of the Ghostface killings leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter in New York City.
The production doubled the Canadian city for the Big Apple as part of the film's latest setting.
Scream 6 is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. Guy Busick and James Vanderbilt served as scriptwriters and is produced by Paul Neinstein, William Sherak and Vanderbilt. Kevin Williamson, who wrote the original slasher classic, is also returning to executive produce.
It is slated for theatrical release on 31 March, 2023.
