Production on Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes has started in Sydney, Australia.
The fourth fantasy action instalment is filming in New South Wales at Fox Studios, which has newly been renamed Disney Studios Australia.
The sequel trilogy to Matt Reeves’s films is described as a new chapter in the Planet of the Apes saga, picking up after the conclusion of 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes.
IT's Owen Teague stars in the film alongside The Witcher's Freya Allan, The Orville's Peter Macon, Jessica Jones' Eka Darville, and The Strain's Kevin Durand.
It is being directed by Wes Ball (The Maze Runner trilogy) from a screenplay by Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds), Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), and Patrick Aison (Prey).
Joe Hartwick Jr. (The Maze Runner trilogy), Jaffa, Silver and Jason Reed (Mulan) are producing. Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping are the executive producers.
