Production on Marvel Studios' WandaVision spin-off series, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, has resumed production following a holiday hiatus.
According to The Midgard Times, filming began in Atlanta, Georgia on 13 December and paused on 17 December, before resuming production today (3 January).
The nine-episode Disney+ original series will film over five months and will wrap end of May, 2023.
In July 2022, Disney announced that the series will premiere this winter but may be pushed back owing to the concomitant production delay as the show was originally expected to begin filming in October last year, explains the publication.
The upcoming Disney+ series is a dark comedy with Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as powerful witch Agatha Harkness. Agatha Harkness is one of the most powerful witches on Earth, and she has lived for centuries as her ageing is slowed by magical means. She becomes the governess for the First Family's son Franklin Richards and the tutor for Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff.
Returning as executive writer and producer is Jac Schaeffer, head writer of WandaVision. Gandja Monteiro helms the series, which is produced by Kevin Feige and Louis D'Esposito. The series also stars Emma Caulfield Ford as Sarah Proctor/Dottie Jones, Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Sasheer Zamata, Eric André, and Patti LuPone.
