Production on Netflix's television adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand's novel is set to start this spring in Massachusetts.
Based on the novel by New York Times bestselling beach read queen Elin Hilderbrand, the six-episode whodunit was created by Jenna Lamia (Good Girls, No Tomorrow, Awkward) and is a product of Netflix’s overall deal with 21 Laps — the production company behind Stranger Things, Shadow and Bone and Unsolved Mysteries.
The official logline reads: “It’s Fourth of July weekend, and Celeste Otis is about to marry the perfect man — who just so happens to be from the wealthiest family on Nantucket. But when a body is discovered floating in the harbor on the morning of what was to be the #weddingoftheyear, suddenly everyone at the party is a suspect.”
Filming is scheduled for early April 2023 and end will wrap mid-June in the US state. Cast member details are to be announced.
Jenna Lamia (Good Girls, Resident Alien) will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Original author Hilderbrand has also boarded as exec producer.
21 Laps Entertainment’s Shawn Levy (The Adam Project) also executive produces alongside The Jackal Group's Josh Barry Gail Berman and Hend Baghdady (Netflix’s Wednesday Addams, Elvis).
