Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd has wrapped filming horror The Movers in Jackson, Mississippi.
The Jackson-based production is now in its second week of filming.
The "paranoid supernatural thriller" starring Jena Malone, Christopher Lloyd, and Terence Howard is written and directed by Giorgio Serafini.
The logline reads: The Movers centres around a close-knit family who moves into a seemingly charming neighbourhood, only to discover that all is not what it appears. As they face persistent threats, the family begins to question their reality and the world around them.
Grant Feely (Obi Wan), Kellan Rhude (Dexter: New Blood) and Natalie Burn (Black Adam) will also star in The Movers.
In an interview with WLBT, Lloyd discussed his latest role and revealed that at age 84, and with 50 years spent on screen, the thrill of the job still excites him.
“I love to do what I do, and whether it’s a smaller production or bigger production, it’s all the same to me. If the part they’ve offered excites me and presents a challenge, I can do my best for something that I like.”
When asked if he’d ever see himself in a supernatural thriller film being shot in Jackson, he responded: “I never imagined it would be here, but I’m very happy it is."
Director Serafini, and producer Gina Goff said The Movers is scheduled to hit theatres in 2024.
